Manager's Message…

Welcome fair visitors. The Firefighters’ Fair has been an important part of Indian River County life since 1980. I am confident that this year’s event will be among the most memorable yet, and should be well attended as long as Mother Nature cooperates. Toby TurnerOnce again this season the School District of Indian River County has its “Spring Break” the same time as the fair. As public servants, we try our best to provide our patrons the best in agriculture, education, livestock, local entertainment, creative crafts & fair food. As we finalize our plans and preparations for our 33rd edition of the 2012 fair, we invite you to watch our website for updates on the many exciting attractions scheduled for this year's program.

Our attendance of visitors has been up and down over the years whether it is economic conditions or the weather. We continue to attract upwards of 50,000 fairgoers to this event, many of them came as a youth who now return with children of their own as adults.

We hope you enjoy strolling into our main exhibit building where vendors and State Statute 616.17 requirements are on display. Maybe see what your neighbor or friend has entered in a competitive exhibit.

The Firefighters’ Fair offers something for everyone, young and old. Since 1980, proceeds from our event have supported the Indian River County Burn Fund, Local High School Scholarships, Fairground Improvements, other Various Charitable Organizations, and for The Benefit Of Public Safety.

This year's theme is “Your Fair, Your Family, Your Fun”.

We are very proud of our volunteers who work so hard to make this event successful, and our sponsors who provide continuous financial support for our program. I encourage you to take time out and enjoy the many activities that make this fair one of the premier events in our county. Encourage your friends and family to visit so they too might come and experience our "FUN, RIDES, CLEANLINESS, FOOD and FAMILY ATMOSPHERE".

See you at the fair, March 9 - 18, 2012

Sincerely,

Toby Turner General Manager
